Sunday Singin' Sensation: THE COMMODORES

HELLO!

It's been awhile since I have posted a SSS. Today, I chose The Commodores' hit, Jesus is Love:

Indeed, "in a times like these, we need a song like this."

Whew! Where do I begin?

* Work is keeping me JUMPING. I barely see myself. I AM back to taking pictures non-stop. Once again, I am donating them to the school's yearbook. I have captured some beautiful and natural shots. My photography is truly growing. Since they are minors, I cannot post them. Mr. A. was even blown away by some of the phots.
* I saw "Julie and Julia" yesterday afternoon. It was a cute film! Meryl Streep was superb (along with Amy Adams).
* Yesterday, I attended a professional growth seminar (work-related). That's ALL I have to say about it.
* Today, I went to my church. I can honestly say that I was spiritually nourished today.
* Mr. A. still has me rollin'.
* I hate how folks try to "dummy down" teaching to educators and how some educators fail to realize this and take these folks' word as Gospel.
* I am back to reading for pleasure - I am simultaneously reading Twilight and Laurie Halse Anderson's Wintergirls. Anderson is definitely back. This is her best novel since Speak.
* I am blessed that the university has invited me to return and teach two classes. I return to campus tomorrow night.

Here is a pic that Mr. A. took of me on the 1st day of school. The dress is similar to the one that I wore last year, but it's shorter. The colors are black and khaki. It is a beautiful dress.

Be blessed!

WILL BLOG THIS WEEKEND

It's been another crazy week.
Continue to pray for me; jealousy, especially over CRAZINESS, is a monster! Some women, especially those who are old enough to be my mother, NEED TO GET A LIFE.

TGIF!!!

RESURFACING

Good morning!

It's hard to believe that nearly a week has passed since my last post. I barely have time to see myself! Work is keeping me busy/on my toes. I am taking some "me time" today by heading to the gym, cleaning, and going to see EDDIE GRIFFIN tonight with Mr. A. We are both excited.

His birthday was on Wednesday. We ate @ Tomasos. Christina, you would have loved the halibut.

I hope that each of you are doing well. I promise to stop by your blogs soon. Pam - thanks for checking up on me.

More later (including photos).

Are you next in line for a MIRACLE?

Good morning and HAPPY SUNDAY!

This song is one of my personal favorites. I first heard it on a WOW Gospel album about 8 years ago. The message is SO powerful. Are you next in line for a miracle? Is today your day?

This is your time!

TRULY HONORED!

Ang:

I got such a KICK out of your post. THANK YOU! Truly, I feel honored. My mother hates my handwriting; my colleagues love it. Mom said that I write like a Catholic nun (slant, slant, slant).

The kids are now asking me to model words for them in cursive. Today, they took a t/f quiz; I made them write the uppercase letters "T" and "F" in cursive.

Here's the link, readers:

LOVE YOU!!!

I'm alive

BARELY.

I so need a vacation from reality.

The week has been good; however, I have barely seen myself.

This week, I had to teach my high school students how to write in cursive; what is going on with the elementary schools in our country?!?!?! Is cursive writing a dying art?

I will post pics this weekend of my 1st day.

Love y'all!
