We are only ONE paycheck away from this. . .

Readers:

We EACH have a family member somewhere along our family tree who has "been here." Therefore, please read Kelaya's story and share it with your readers. Tangobaby, God is most definitely going to find FAVOR with you for this. Christina, thank you for sharing this info. with me:

If you have a few dollars to spare, donate. If that means that you cannot go to Starbucks each day this upcoming week, do know that a baby has formula in his bottle.

Love y'all!

TESTS

Have you ever wondered why you go through certain "tests" in life? Does it cause you to question why God is using you as the vessel to expose things/people? Does it prompt you to ask God what lesson is to be learned from this situation?

I am going through this right now - - - yet again. Indeed, the Devil is busy. As usual, it centers around an individual who *claims* to deeply know the Lord. Then again, I feel as if this individual cares more about stylin' and profilin' his clothing @ church rather than listening to the Word.

I am thankful that I know how to get on my hands and knees and pray. I am working on the listening/relinquishing power to the most High. When I feel as if He is taking too long to answer my "cry," I must recall that He knew that I was going to have this cry from the minute that I was conceived. He has yet to fail me; therefore, as a card that my mother sent me five years ago says, "He doesn't need my help."

Easter: the second half of the Christmas story

Greetings!

HE AROSE! Praise HIM for doing so! Happy Easter, folks! I thought that I would share my holiday with you via a montage of photos. Today, Mr. A. and I worshipped with the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church family. The service was held at the Dodge Theater (due to PRMBC sanctuary renovations). It was PACKED. They had to turn folks away. People, can you at least TRY and get to church on time?!?!?!

Then, we at at Ko'Sin restuarant - - - Wildhorse Sheraton Resort (Chandler, AZ). Mr. A. took me to Easter brunch. It was delish.

Enjoy!

OOPS!

I just realized that I posted the tree picture on Sunday!!!

Here's another one:
Indeed, butterflies bring out the child in people. ;)

Some people have TALENT. . . .

Folks:

You have GOT to have some God-given talent to create the following masterpiece:

This is one of my FAVORITE shots taken yesterday @ the Desert Botanical Garden. My friend, Kira, sent me an email today. She was 100% correct in saying that this is the BEST time to live in Phoenix - everything is in bloom; smelling great, and it's COOL. This shot was taken in manual. I am considering submitting it. I normally don't do this, but I would like your take on this photo. Is it a thumbs up or thumbs down?

Monday, Monday's breakdown:

* Woke up and thanked the Lawd for another day of LIFE
* Washed the body down
* Got dressed and headed to Starbucks.
* Arrived @ work
* Taught 5 classes
* Came home and started cooking this Italian Tomato Tart. God ONLY knows how it's going to turn out. Push come to shove, I can always defrost some leftovers.
* Had a glass of $2 buck Chuck (Charles Stone) - zinfandel. Today, I NEEDED it.
* Plan on walking in about 45 minutes or so.

Happy Monday!

A Carefree Day @ Lakewood Park

These photos were taken @ Lakewood Parkway's Park. This is the area that is minutes from my residence. If I had the $$$, I would have purchased a home there. It's a really pretty area. Don't get me wrong - - - I am grateful for what I have, but to have this in my backyard, WOW.

I took these photos in manual. Of the photos, which one (s) do you like?

Tonight's menu: Spanish Shrimp on a bed of Orzo and sauteed spinach.

Chapter 6: Sports Fish vs. Keepers

I am BACK with a Steve Harvey update.

Are you a Sports fish or a KEEPER? In this chapter, Steve explores how men distinguish between the women that they want to be their Mrs. versus those he wants to simply bed. He separates them by referring to his "catch" as sport or keeper.

Sport: There are no rules or requirements. A sport has a minimum amount of respect for herself. She is the party girl who is willing to take "any" risk to simply satisfy her thirst at that particular moment. In short, she'll give the cookie up whenever a man wants a bite of "chip."

Keeper: This woman DEMANDS respect. She is dressed appropriately and will not allow you to cop a feel of her "treats." She takes a man's number but does not give him hers.

Ladies, how can you tell if your "fisherman" is simply looking to throw you back in the lake or keep you:

* If his conversation is simply fake, keep on ROLLIN'.
* If he sincerely appears to be interested, he is placing you in the "keeper" category
* If he scoffs at your requirements, keep on moving. If he hears you out, you are climbing up on the keeper list.
* If he AIN'T got hisself together - financially, emotionally, and spiritually, you already know which category you are in.

I am a "Keeper" type of woman, and that is why I am still alone. Hill Harper, I am a "Keeper." LOL. Most of the men that I have encountered are not together emotionally or spiritually. Thus, as T. informed me, don't be greedy. God gave me my house this year, and don't rush Him. In the meantime, love the blessing that He gave me. It's hard to do it, especially when I see all the bridal magazines each time that I am looking for my favorite mags. @ B&N, but I am aware that God only wants the best for his chirren.

Any plans for the weekend? Big Gurl and I are going to take some photos tomorrow @ the Desert Botanical. That is one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. I plan on returning to the Butterfly Exhibit. Speaking of photos, Ritz Camera is closing many stores across the nation. They have closed down a small store that I frequent. This economy is simply deplorable.

I have many pictures to share. My goal is to upload them today. Then again, my aim was to write the above post HOW many days ago? ;)

TOODLES!!!

TWEET! TWEET!

Folks, I am here. I will return to the Steve Harvey updates TONIGHT (if I have the energy). It's been a rather long day. We have AIMS @ work (pray that these babies pass). I only taught two class periods; however, it felt as if I taught all five.

Jesus, bless my SOUL.

Tonight, I am teaching @ the university. I'ma praying that those two hours go by FAST.

Thanks for the emails/posts regarding my "future husband." Hey, if you know Hill, pass this link on to HIM. Help a sista' out, please. Hill would be my intellectual equal. I am searching for this.

And, before someone "anonymously" asks me again "Why don't you date T.?" I'll tell you why - - -we are both interested in the same thang. Okay? And, before you question me putting his BIZNESS in the street, I asked permission. I had him ROLLIN' at how someone suggesting that we should hook up.

How are you doing? Any recent developments?

CHECK OUT Christina's blog: www.soulaperture.blogspot. Her story RE: her son's bronchitis/is extremely heartwrenching. America, we are a SIK nation!!!!
