AIN'T NOTHING GOING ON BUT THE RENT!

Good morning!

It's been two weeks since my last post; where has time gone. RE: what's going on, see the title of this post.

I am thankful that tomorrow is my last day of work for the week. Last night, I taught @ the university; many students have already left for the holiday.

Here's what's been going on for me:

* I am praying that a blessing is finalized by no later than today.
* There are some truly sick people in the world. Folks, trust me, when people continuously profess that their life is perfect, raise an eyebrow, because there are indeed some "live skeletons" in their closet. Be careful of who you let into your life.
* Sarah Palin - do us a favor and disappear. YOU BETCHA most Americans would be ecstatic about that.
* How many of you tell Jesus on a daily basis about your desires?
* Jealousy is a monster; do you have your "beast" under control?

Carpet cleaning

Good evening.

My carpet cleaner has arrived; he is ever so cleaning my dirty carpet. This is why I wish that I had nothing but tile in the residence. As soon as I can, I am taking out the carpet that is in my master bathroom. This is GROSS. When toilets overflow, you know what will get wet - - - your carpet. If your toilet breaks, what is damaged - the carpet and the padding. This leads to mold.

I am looking forward to having Thursday off. God bless our veterans.

So much is going on in the world:

* People are putting their babies in microwaves, killing them, and then getting off scott free due to a technicality
* Obama can only do so much; however, he needs to get ON it before he finds himself back living in Chitown after the next Presidential election. Forget the photo ops, man, and do. your. job.
* Thanksgiving is a couple weeks away. WOW.
* I *heart* old photographs (Easter, 1983)
* A colleague purposedly visited my classroom simply to say HELLO. She doesn't work at our school, and she went out on a limb for me last Spring.
* Tomorrow is HUMP DAY.
* College students today are NOTHING like those in 1992. Fear them. Anytime that you can sit in class and facebook rather than listen to your professor, you know that there is a problem. These are the people who will be teaching your children.

Be scared.

Comfort

Dear Born:

Thank you for creating these ever-so comfortable, yet sassy shoes.

Love,

SEVENTY-EIGHT

Today, my Grandma Mel is 78. Indeed, it is a blessing that she is with us. This is a woman who has had a hard life - single parenthood, ups and downs, and health woes; however, she exemplifies the power of God. She is the woman who keeps me rollin' on a daily basis, and cusses me out a least three times a week.

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

My Cousin K's wedding

Dear Bloggers:

I am going to copy Angie's sister's style, and submit my posts in "letter format" for awhile. :)

I wanted to share with you some things that have occurred:

* Last weekend, I flew home to attend my cousin K's, wedding and to see my family; it has been two years since I have visited the 219. I had a blast; I was sad to leave. It hurts me how my hometown has been left to urban decay. SO much $$$ has been poured into the city, but it has gone into the accounts of greedy folks (who misappropriated funds).
* The wedding was beautiful. These are not my best photos (blame the lighting), but on this occasion, I was not seeking perfection; I was trying to capture beautiful memories of happy kinfolk
* Born shoes are the best. I managed to snag a great pair last night. They are expensive, but when you have flat feet/susceptible to callouses, you must "conform."
* Flu shots will NOT prevent you from getting sick. I am sitting in my office congested.
* Jesus continues to be a friend of mine
* Steve Harvey's second book will be released a week from tomorrow. Therefore, get ready to read my blog for "Cee's analysis"
* I missed dressing up for Halloween
* Pottery Barn is decorated ever so beautiful for the holiday season.

Love,

Cee

THE BUSY BEE!!!

Greetings!

I cannot believe that it's been nearly 3 weeks since my last post. I've been ever so the busy bee.

Here's a run-down of what's been going on:

* I am going home on Friday. Indeed, I need a break from PHX!
* Indeed, it is now fall in PHX!
* I so *heart* Halloween decor. I hate that I will not be dressing up this year (due to being out of town). I found the cutest Halloween t-shirt @ Tarjay and an awesome hat @ Cracker Barrel. I will sport both this week.
* God is always love.
* i love taking photos. Indeed, I am my father's child
* I love going to "different" events. Truly, I am my mother's child.
* So much is going on in the news.
* Virginia Thomas, SET DOWN! Her message was something out of a bad, plantation novel. DELIVER ME!!!]*
I *heart* the Desert Botanical Garden

IN SHOCK

Good afternoon!

Check this out:

* I'm on Fall Break: PRAISE HIM!!!
* I went out to dinner with a fellow Christian last night; we both used our debit cards, and I accidentally got hers; she got mine. Considering that she makes killer cash, it was not a point of me fearing that she would swipe my card (which of course, did not happen). Here's the kicker - I had a doctor's appointment today, which is right down the street from her home. I called and texted, because I wanted to give her le card. No JOKE, this is what I heard, "I'm @ work, and I will not be available until 2pm." Where does she work? HER CRIB. No joke. I am dead serious. There are not a lot of things that surprise me, but that comment floored me. I had to literally text her to let her know that I was around the corner so that she could leave the card in an envelope at her gate, and I could leave her card in the envelope. Sad. I wanted to scream, "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?!?!?!?!?!?!"
* I plan on scrapbooking today.
* Grilled chicken breasts, brushed with Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce, and some Green Giant side veggies are the best.
* I've included some pics from my birthday; as of 9/30, I am THIRTY-SIX years old. WOW!

Peace
