The past few days

Greetings!

I hope that each of you remember to celebrate your father today.

How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Today, my church group met at a member's home; we had a good time.

I have been so busy teaching summer school; the kids have been relatively decent. Indeed, this is a blessing. It's hard to believe that SS ends on Friday. NExt Sunday, I leave for Dallas, TX; I am attending a conference. My aim is to network, network, network. I do not want to leave AZ; my aim is to possibly meet some contacts so that I can do some consulting work. I am being prayerful about this.

Some things have transpired wthat fully reinforced the fact that God never abandons you. People an be so LOW DOWN; however, God always comes along and screams victory.

I thought that I would share these photos with you:

1.) Dinner @ Pappadeuxs (YYYYYYYYYYYYYUM!!!)
2.) Happy Hour @ Roy's
3.) 5th year in AZ anniversary dinner

Toodles! ;)

What's going on?

Howdy!

I'm back to work; currently, I am teaching summer school. Thus far, it's been a pleasant experience. I am thankful to the Almighty for allowing me to have this experience.

How was your weekend? This weekend, I relaxed. I had to go to the mall to finish purchasing my dad's Father's Day gift, and then I returned home and watched some movies. I also baked:

I am thankful for my gym membership. I only had one of these puppies, and trust me, that's hard.

Mine came out JUST as perfect as those found in these photos. I will upload and share a photo soon. They gave a new twist to Mountain Dew AND crescent rolls.

This afternoon, I am attending a gathering held by a dear friend from church. For this event, I made:

It's SO nice to make a pound cake where I do not have to sift my booty off.

Since a group that I facilitate (church) will not be meeting away from the church, I will have many opportunities to try my baking skills. I will be sure to share from week to week.

Love y'all!

I've Been One Scrappin' Fool

And, I've been enjoying EVERY. MINUTE. OF. IT.

I return to work on Monday for summer school; I am making scrapping/hanging out with friends a PRIORITY this summer since I don't do enough of this during the academic year.

Happy Friday!

What's going on?

Good morning!

It's been awhile. Kill me. How was your holiday? I grilled on Sunday in order to 100% chillax on Monday. I hope that each of you remember our vets and our fallen soldiers.

I haven't posted a series of pics in quite some time:

Pic of me and the man - - - let me keep you guessing. ;)
Pics of food on the grill
Pics of kids - - - McKenzie's pre K graduation

Here are some things on my mind (Since I didn't post on Monday):

* God is wonderful
* Close-minded individuals should be barred from having leadership positions in churches that contend that they are progressive
* I am scrapbooking with a VENGEANCE
* Summer school begins next week, and I am thankful that I was strong enough to fight for it.
* Hobby Lobby has some BEAUTIFUL items. I cannot BELIEVE that they have Christmas trees up/autumn decor available. WTH? The 4th hasn't even come and passed.
* This lil' cowgirl will be in Dallas, TX starting June 27th for a work-related conference. YEE HA!
* Al and Tipper Gore - - - I didn't see that one coming whatsoever. SAD

What's on your mind?

Peace

OVER, OVER, OVER!!!

Good morning!

To God be the GLORY, school is out. Overall, my students were extremely sweet; this year, it was the adults. As my mother recently informed me, there's a special place in hell for some people. Trust me, there are two particular individuals who Satan is waiting on.

I am scheduled to teach summer school; I literally had to pitch an absolute bitch to get it. There was no doubt that I was being "blocked" from teaching SS, and after three years of being denied, I said, "HELLS. NO. TO. THIS. SH*T." I spoke with the right people @ the right place, and "miraculously," I was informed that I got a class to teach. I literally did the holy dance.

Why are people so evil? Who/what circumstance has robbed them of their joy?

Weekend plans? In about 20 minutes, I am headed to the Y for a spin class. My hips are coming down, down, down, and I am sore, sore, sore.

I have included a picture of Ann's last day teaching. After 40 years of teaching high school English, she has retired. Ann was one of the few people @ my gig that I genuinely liked and respected. Ann was a professional, but she spoke her mind. I said, "Ann, I am now stepping into your shoes." Sometimes, you have to be direct and tell folks like it is. You just get sick of mess.

I am SOO psyched for two things: Sex and the City: 2 and the sequel to Waiting to Exhale (the book). WOO HOO! What are you reading?

COUNTDOWN/MONDAY'S MUSINGS

Good morning and HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!!

I am in an amazing mood; Wednesday is the last day of work. HIPHIPHOORAY!!! Please do know that I am thankful to the Lord for a career; however, this has been the year of HELL. Without His Grace, I would not have made it. Without going into specifics, I will say this - - - I have a brain AND common sense. There are some who feel threatened by individuals who possess both, especially the latter.

Monday's Musings:

* I am proud of Katie Washington - - - http://www.nwitimes.com/news/local/lake/article_e1e4192b-80b9-5369-af7b-7855678e0317.html
* Jesus is a friend of mine.
* I am reading Glorious; Bernice McFadden - - - did you need to pay the mortgage and you published this?
* Terry McMillan is BACK. She has written the sequel to Waiting to Exhale; excerpts of it are in the new Essence magazine.
* Why were my feet so dry??? It's called living in the desert. They feel much, much, better after a needed pedicure.
* This weekend, I cooked - - - grilled chicken breasts, blue cheese burgers, orzo with parmesean cheese, green beans with smoked turkey parts and a peach cobbler (on Saturday); Sunday - - - fettucini alfredo and some leftover grilled chicken. Note: I only ate about 3 forkfuls of the pasta. I had just returned from working out, and I did not want to be counterproductive.
* Who is the one person that you can truly count on?

Word.

Possessing a Bitter Spirit

Indeed, the dead has RISEN!!!!!

GOOD MORNING!!!

How you be? I have intended to post; however, I have been busy. Today's post is dear to my heart. Two weeks ago, Mom watched a televangelist; he spoke about the need to release one's bitter spirit. The illustration that he used was the following: A woman had been dumped. She began to stalk her boyfriend. While being a "Peeping Thomasina," she was bitten by a rabies-infected raccoon. Her physician was a ble to treat her; howeer, while in his office, she began to furiously record information onto a notepad. When the doctor asked her was she was composing, she said, "A list of all of the people that I will bite prior to being cured."

Does this story hit home?

Today - - - attending a cycling class is #1 on my list. It's time to get this body back in tip-top SHAPE!!

Love.
